A daily dose of God’s touch in a minute…

What qualifies you to possess the finest?

A father brings his epileptic child to Jesus.

Seeing Jesus, the boy goes into a convulsion, falls down and starts rolling on the ground.

Jesus remains calm, in no apparent hurry.

He can but He does not. Why?

Because it entails a bit of faith for Jesus to act.

‘How long has he been like this?’ Jesus asks the father.

 ‘Since childhood’, he responds.

Desperate to find a solution for his son he pleads with Jesus saying ‘if you can do something.then..please..’

Jesus instantly retorts ‘‘if you can…?’

In other words, Jesus is conveying to the man, ‘don’t dump it on me, but if YOU can believe, I can surely do it.’

‘I want to believe. Help me know how’ the father requests Jesus.

Jesus responds to the fathers willingness and little faith.

Its Jesus, He does not want, demand or expect too much faith, just a little willingness to believe will do.

Rising with all authority, He rebukes the foul spirit that is tormenting the boy.

The boy is totally healed!

On another occasion, there is a wedding taking place.

The party is on. The guests are having a good time. Unfortunately, they run out of drinks, and it is too early to wind up the celebrations.

Mary, the mother of Jesus is at the wedding. She walks up to Jesus and advises Him to help sort the issue.

She knows He can.

She also orders the servants to obey whatever Jesus says.

“Fill the water jars’ Jesus instructs.

The servants can respond that the jars are for the washing water.

They don’t.

Instead, they obediently fill the jars to the brim.

Then Jesus says, ‘Now, draw from the jars and serve the guests.’

The servants can object, because it can get awkward to offer water kept for washing as a drink at a high class wedding.

Once again they don’t.

They obey Jesus.

The special guest at the banquet sips the drink.

He loves it and compliments the host ‘So the best wine was saved for last huh?’

Jesus fulfilled the prophesy of Isaiah ‘If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the good things of the land.’

What is your situation?

Are you willing to believe for the good things?

Are you willing to obey God’s instruction?

If your answer is Yes, then you surely qualify for the finest of blessings.

It’s a promise!

Bible Verse:

If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the good things of the land.

Isaiah 1:19

              Hello Dr. Andrew Koh
Thanks for sending me the links to your post. I went through them. They are very crisp and simple to understand but I just wanted to check if you would like to write a specific post to be posted on my blog.
You must have noticed that my blog posts have a similar style so in order to continue in that format, would it be possible for you to:
Write the post (you could even use the existing post)
Mention one or more bible verses related to the post
Narrate any simple personal experience connected to the post, which will help the readers understand the point conveyed
And finally add the link to your blog in the post.
Let me know if this works for you
              Sophia
