Are you ready for the new?

It’s time to chuck out the bitter past.

‘So, the women hurried away from the tomb’.

This is the news update recorded in the Gospel of Matthew.

Who were these women? And why did they run away from the tomb?

These were women who had close contact with Jesus. Women who had the opportunity to learn life principles from Him.

Now, after Jesus was crucified, they missed His presence and went to the tomb to mourn.

But they were in for a surprise because that day was not meant to be a day of crying.

That day they were about to see for real what Jesus once spoke about in parables. But to experience that, they needed a new way of understanding. They needed to believe that it was time for God to do the ‘New’ that was promised and that is why the Angel of God was sent to tell these women ‘The Jesus you are looking for is risen’

The moment they heard the Breaking News they ran from the tomb.

Today, I believe it is the same for those of you reading this. It is time to chuck out some of the dead old past. Time to chuck out yesterday’s mistakes, abuse, pain, and disappointments.

That’s not all, I believe it’s time to throw out some old things in the house.

God is looking for a clean, new space to bring in the new, new mercies, new days, new wine, new oil, new experiences, new opportunities,  new people, new ideas, new hope, and new beginnings.

Even a new wardrobe, literally.

It is time to believe for a brand-new look.

It is time for a brand-new confidence in everything that concerns you and your life.

It is time to run away from the Tomb like the women did knowing it was time to focus on the living things and not the dead.

Paul said in Philippians 3:13-14, ‘But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead,’

It is time to create space for God to put in some new stuff.

Have a great, new day.

God Bless.

Sophia

Prayer:

Father God, thank you for speaking to me through this message. I do believe that you want to do new things in my life. Help me to get rid of things of the past that hold no value in my life. I pray that you will enable me to wipe away old habits, old disappointments, and old thinking that stand as obstacles on my path to move forward.

I ask you to forgive me for all the things of the past that displeased you and I choose to forgive and forget the wrong done to me by others. Almighty God I want to leave behind everything I have been involved in that is not right in your sight, whether those things were done in the past few days, a few months back or even done years before.

Today I am creating space for you to do the new in my life.

Help me to be ready to receive new things and new blessings that you have in store for me.

I pray and ask all this in Jesus Name.

Amen

Say you are recreated and rectified by God or the divine spirit or Source of creation …

    Through both joy and pain,
    We   transcend, grow and gain,
God would nourish us with rain ,
To restore our souls  and restart again ,
    Nothing goes in vain ,
Ups and down come to brighten our lane …
