Make that start and keep going!
Eight years back I was led to start TheGodminute.
A blog born out of the desire to point to the hope we can find in and through the written Word of God, the Bible.
A desire that stemmed from a longing to express my thoughts through writing.
Although I have not been as consistent as I should have, I must say each time I spent time praying and preparing a blog post the Lord encouraged me, strengthened me and taught me something new and brought a fresh new understanding.
Today, even after 8 years, sharing a blog post continues to give me a lot of joy.
Just the thought that my study of the Bible is helping someone, sitting in some corner of the world, someone I do not know, someone I may never meet and yet it makes their day, it matters greatly because it means that the Word of God is bearing fruit and it’s one of the most awesome feelings.
Zechariah 4:10 says “Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin”. And, Job 8:7 “Though your beginning was insignificant, yet your end will increase greatly.”
I want to take this opportunity to share this anniversary and my happiness with all fellow Bloggers, Followers, and Readers. Thank you for your encouragement. I want you to know that it means the world to me.
So, let me take a moment to exhort you, no matter what you are doing, it may or may not seem significant at this point of time, but just stick with it.
If you are contemplating starting something new, and it seems like it is too small, the resources not sufficient, the finances not enough, or the motivation is lacking, do not be reluctant.
Get Jesus on board with your project and trust God to turn these small beginnings into a journey that is filled with adventure, contentment, and success.
He is faithful and able to show you a great finish.

Sophia, it’s been about that long for me too. Someone asked me recently why I continue. It’s hard to put my finger on it other than to say I’m compelled. There is always a topic to discuss, and there is something about the accumulation of posts, hitting the publish button, and the hope that it offers encouragement and insight to someone else generates momentum to keep going.
