Commanding things to come into existence

land4Sophia Lorena Benjamin

When God first began creation, there was darkness, emptiness and formless waste. God then began to speak his word over the unformed earth and vast waters. As God kept releasing His Word in faith things came into existence. “Let there be” God said and there was. Then He saw it, liked it and approved it. “It is good” God announced.

God created everything by speaking his word. But God saved the best for last. Man; the creation made in the personality and likeness of the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. For all other things God said “let there be” but for man, the most special creation He said “let us make”.

In this modern age, we observe that many aspects of the world and everything that was made good has gone back once again to its previous form of darkness, emptiness and issues that are “not good”.

Marriage problems, relationships going wrong, too much money with some and abject poverty with others, war ravaged countries and desolate refugees, the spread of global terrorism, pollution and global warming causing environmental problems, earthquakes, hurricanes and floods in some parts, malnutrition, hunger and water scarcity in others. Inflation and Recession leading to economic confusion, deteriorating health issues, widespread corruption and turmoil. Yet, the Bible says ‘Heaven and earth shall pass away but not God’s Word’.

Man, created in the likeness of God Himself, was granted authority by God in Genesis 1:28 to be fruitful and take the earth under their power and to dominate everything by speaking the Word.

Application: Pick up the right bible verses from the Word of God related to your personal situation and command things into existence. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you. Faith, mixed with the Word of God, backed by the spirit of God will make things work. He has promised and his Word never fails.

Bible verses:

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.

And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.

And God saw that it was good.

God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning—the sixth day.

    Very nice…and so encouraging
Such a good word. It reminded me of
Hast thou commanded the morning since thy days; and caused the dayspring to know his place;Job 38:12
