Forgiveness is often one of the hardest things to do.
Forgiving someone, anyone takes effort. The reward however is worthwhile because forgiveness releases power; the power to walk in freedom that allows direct access to the throne of God the Father.
In humbling ourselves in forgiveness there is victory; Jesus displayed the same on the cross at Calvary; a humble plea “Father forgive them for they know not what they do” which was a prelude to the ensuing victory and resurrection power being released.
Suddenly the breaking news got better, the blind was going to be healed, the criteria for the poor to become rich was undergoing a transformation and the sinner had hope.
This power packed act of forgiveness now brought liberty and freedom for all who believed with a seal that said “forgiven”.
Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing”
