A daily dose of God’s touch in a minute…

Funny things people did, not knowing Jesus was watching

Here’s just a select few:

Began to follow him in excitement but started to walk back mid-way
“The Lord turned and looked straight at Peter. Then Peter remembered the word the Lord had spoken to him: “Before the rooster crows today, you will disown me three times.”
Luke 22: 61 (NIV)

Highlighted the flaws of others while they made mistakes themselves
“When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, “If any one of you is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone at her.”
John 8 :7 (NIV)

Searched for him desperately, even crying and moaning while he was right there.
“Woman,” he said, “why are you crying? Who is it you are looking for?” Thinking he was the gardener, she said, “Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have put him, and I will get him.”
John 20:15 (NIV)

Reacted when confronted with stress and pressure situations by accusing the Lord saying “ you don’t care”
Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke him and said to him, “Teacher, don’t you care if we drown?”
Mark 4 : 38 (NIV)

Shamefully tried to escape from Him to hide Sin as though he had no power to cleanse that Sin.
“So he ran ahead and climbed a sycamore-fig tree to see him, since Jesus was coming that way.”
Luke 19; 4

Stubbornly got into a ‘ Let’s mind our own business’ attitude .
But he answered, “You give them something to eat.” They said to him, “That would take eight months of a man’s wages! Are we to go and spend that much on bread and give it to them to eat?”
Mark 6 :37 (NIV)

Fearfully doubted and forced him to prove himself
Look at my hands and my feet. It is I myself! Touch me and see; a ghost does not have flesh and bones, as you see I have.”
Luke 24:39 (NiV)

Regretted and wished things went back to the past as though He could not restore life again
“Roll the stone aside,” Jesus told them. But Martha, the dead man’s sister, protested, “Lord, he has been dead for four days. The smell will be terrible.”
John 11;39

Were sceptical and tried helping out by interrupting Him while He was about to perform a miracle not believing He could still do it
While he was still speaking to her, a messenger arrived from the home of Jairus, the leader of the synagogue. He told him, “Your daughter is dead. There’s no use troubling the Teacher now.”
Luke 8: 49

Gave in to greed to deny Him not realising all the silver and gold belonged to Him.
“And forthwith he (Judas) came to Jesus, and said , Hail , master; and kissed him.
.And Jesus said unto him, Friend, wherefore art thou come ? Then came they , and laid hands on Jesus, and took him.”
Mathew 26: 49-50
Well, all this happened in those days.
In this age, do you think we could do something like that?
What do you think, do we?
Your thoughts are important; Please feel free to share them.
