A daily dose of God’s touch in a minute…

David confronted the challenging Giant ‘Goliath’ by using a punch line ‘I come against you in the name of the Lord’probably trying to convey ‘ I am not alone in fighting you but the support system behind me is HUGE.’

The king (Saul), The People of God who were gathered around in fear, David’s brothers who had ridiculed him a while back were all present to hear the conviction in David’s punch line and more importantly to witness his victory through the conviction that the punch line brought in.

The book of Jude says the Archangel Michael confronted the enemy saying ‘May the Lord rebuke you’

The new testament records :

Then Peter said, “Silver or gold I do not have, but what I have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk.”Acts 3: 6 (NIV)

What’s your punch line saying to those who are up to ridiculing you? Those questioning your fight and victory? The giants that challenge you? The needy who look for some hope in you ?

Grab your bible; choose your favourite punch line; that’s a mighty punch, give it to them. That said, the battle belongs to the Lord.

“And everyone assembled here will know that the LORD rescues his people, but not with sword and spear. This is the LORD’s battle, and he will give you to us!”

1 Samuel 17:47
